NAS Nationals Announced
The 2010 NAS Amateur National Championships is going to be held in Reno, Nevada at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. The contest will be held November 12th and 13th, 2010 with 3 events on Friday and 4 events on Saturday. The LW and HW athletes will compete both days. The weekend will also include the NAS Women’s National Championships on Friday evening with five events. There will be prize money for men and women at nats this year.

This was the first event I ever won and is the most simple, natural,
and challenging lift there is.
How did you get involved in Strongman:
I saw a flyer for Strongest Man in the Rockies and thought I would give it a try as a novice. I met some of the best people I have ever known and it has been an addiction ever since.
Who is your favorite Pro: Odd Haugen and Nick Best (the two strongest old men you will ever meet!)
Have you competed nationally: Once in 2007, but I had only been training strongman for a few months. If you are considering nationals, make sure you have some real experience first.
Competitor Statement: The Strongman does not give up, he does not accept defeat, he overcomes. A true Strongman finds a way when no one else thinks it can be done.

Favorite Event: Truck Pull-Harness, simply because its both one of the most exhausting and awe-inspiring events. It really says a lot about a man's power and determination when he's sprinting with a vechile strapped to his back.
I got involved when I stumbled onto the Colorado Heavy Haulers site. One look and I had to try out this awesome sport.
My favorite pros: Bill Kazmaier, Magnus Ver Magnusson, and Mariusz Pudzinowski.

Being the youngest guy at practice is sort of overwhelming. I look around at Darryl and Rob and feel how big the shoes are that I'm going to fill. But I just keep my head right and work hard for shot at Nationals one day.

How did you get invovled with Strongman: The way I actually
started strongman was I had some good friends put on the competition
at the buwiser event center and they signed me up for it without me
knowing, so I did it and ended up getting addicted.
Favorite Pro: Is by far Marius, just because he is an amazing athlete and he keeps an amazing physique.
